Call for submissions: Sparkbright magazineSPARKBRIGHT magazine is looking for submissions of poetry and short fiction. We have recently released our fourth issue, and are looking for pieces to include in the fifth issue, due out later this year.
Full details can be found on our website, but as for the basics:
- No previously published work (though we don't count anything on dA as previously published).
- Submit up to three poems, and/or up to 1500 words of fiction.
-Please wait for a response for one submission before sending in another piece for us to look at!
We are also looking for cover art, if any of you talented visual artists fancy having a go!

Cover Art CONTESTThis is the first contest that I've run, but the first of it's type.
Introducing Spark Bright, www.freewebs.com/sparkbright a free, online literary magazine that's currently open for submissions of poetry and prose.
The aim of this contest, though, is to create a suitable cover design for our first issue. Check out the website and have a look around, we're interested in all styles of writing, and all styles of art for the cover.

Since that article, the date for the release of issue 1 has been confirmed as December 1st 2008, and we are open for submissions now. We are looking for submissions of poetry and prose, on any subject, in any style. Whether you're a new writer or you've been published numerous times already - this can be a good start for you, or another credit to your name. The cut off date for submissions is November 14th, so send in your submissions now.

Introducing 'Spark Bright', a free online magazine that will be available for free download, with new issues published quarterly.
The site is now accepting submissions for issue 1, which is being anticipated for release December 08/January 09. We are completely dependent upon your submissions, so feel free to check out the submissions guidelines on the site, and get those submissions in. We accept both poetry and prose, though there are, of course, restrictions on length - so no epic poems or complete novels, thanks!
